"After many years of research and development, numerous prototypes tested all over the world by our international team, the BIAX construction was born. In combination with existing technologies, this new construction has given our boards an exceptional structure.
To sum up, the new BIAX technology, as I hoped, offers improved lightness and durability, as well as flex and radical characteristics like never before. This has the effect of increasing the comfort and precision of our boards !

Biax Technology
The BIAX bamboo technology allows you to getto a new level, After several years of research and prototypes tested through out the world by the international team, the BIAX construction, along with the Paulownia parabolic wooden rails, gives an exceptional structure to the board.
- It is 15% lighterthan our classic construction, who already was the lighest on the market !
- Further more, it also grants amazing responsive and flex features while keeping the durability every HB boards have, known to be the most durable on the market !
- The third reason that led to into developing this unique technology is COMFORT. Thanks to the damping it provides, the BIAX construction offers a fluid and precise feel that gives you a progression tool like no other !

My Quiver
I am always trying to make the most of each session and adapt to the conditions. For this purpose I need to have all round products from HB Surf that trully serves as a cross over for every session.
- The Lafayette Biax 5'6 is our all-round strapless board oriented in surf. The best possible shape if you like engaged surf as well as big air freestyle moves using the waves as a pop.
- For my Kite, I use the LEGION II for unmatched drift and depower. When I commit in extreme surf conditons, I adapt my driving mode in « surf » and to « freestyle » when I want to fly and do fat Air above the wave.
- Last but not least is my Legacy Harness with the 3D patented hook that allows me to open my shoulders and act like I wasn’t liked to a kite to reach the purest surf and freestyle moves possible.
