OCTO BIAX
THE all-round performance board for surfing. Its BIAX TECH version offers increased lightness, as well as unprecedented flex and responsiveness. The shape of our OCTO is then greatly improved thanks to our unique BIAX technology.

The outline has been re-engineered to get identical sensations than the previous one, the shape by homothety doesn’t exist at HB Surf !
A shorter board that compensates with its width to keep control at high speed, a little bit less thick to easily make the rail stick to the bottom. Precise and fast in the surf, its full Biax Tech / Paulownia rail construction makes the OCTO one of the key wave boards in the HB range.
INCREDIBLE LIGHTNESS AND RADICALITY
Designed to keep speed and flow in small conditions, it will remain precise and incisive in powerful waves. The Octo is the thinnest board in the range, but its generous volume allows it to be ridden in light wind conditions and makes it an easy board to ride.
Measurements
- The main reason is located on the board’s FLEX. We also call it the rebound effect, the one which allows you to be explosive in your navigation, whether it is in pop to jump, or in a board’s bottom turn boost. Balance wasn’t easy to find, between the bamboo blades, its application on the top or the bottom, or both… our numerous tests led to this excellent balance.
- The second reason concerns the board’s WEIGHT, it is 15% lighter than our classic construction. Don’t believe the resellers who assure you that weight is synonymous with quality, they just can’t do it ! A board’s lightness means performance and fluidity, the holy grail when it comes to riding.
- The third reason that led to into developing this unique technology is COMFORT. Having a Formula 1 that is out of control or difficult to access has no point, the BIAX construction offers a fluid and precise feel which gives you a progression tool like no other !
